These are coming in from all over! Another Canadian quilt square from my new blogger friend, Kim. She sent this all the way from Moosejaw, Sakatchewan, Canada. Kim is another single mom-to-be who is waiting for her future daughter, Channing. Check out her blog My Little Chinese Dream. She sent the most adorable ladybug fabric. Her wish reads "May you walk towards a trail of success. May you follow your heart. May you experience the sweetness of a happy life. Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars."

Thanks Kim!

Mia's 22nd Quilt Square: Burien, Washington

This is also from another couple in my JuneDTC group. They are Bridget and Jason Laflin of Burien, Washington. They sent along a cute bedtime fabric with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Piglet. The quote says "Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars; to change the world ~Harriet Tubman" I love the quote. Their wish for Mia says "We wish for you the wisdom to recognize the value of your dreams and the courage to pursue them." That's great!

Thanks Bridget and Jason!

Mia's 21st Quilt Square: Naples, Florida

This is another from one of my fellow June Bugs, Leslie Pittman in Naples, Florida. (Mom, check it out. More purple butterfly fabric.) The wish has a poem that I absolutely love. "Not of my flesh, nor of my bone, but still miraculously my own. Never forget for a single minute, you didn't grow under my heart but in it ~Fleur Heylinger" Her wish reads "Dear Baby, My wish for you... may you know joy and love all the days of your life." Love the ladybugs on the card. Cute!

Thanks Leslie!

Mia's 20th Quilt Square: Victoria, Australia

Can't get enough of those ladybugs. She sent a lovely wish that says "I wish that you always have love in your heart, a smile on your face, dreams to inspire you, warmth in your soul and that you know how very much you are loved." The card is very asian inspired with the little China girl and the symbols for beautiful life. I love it.

Thanks Tamara!

Mia's 19th Quilt Square: Sandusky, Ohio

Scroll down to #16 to see all of the squares and wishes from the kids crafting party. This one came from the creative genius of 4 yr old, Jazz. Jazz is Peyton's older sister's son. He lives in Sandusky, Ohio but was visiting for a few weeks over the summer. Jazz is currently in a fireman phase and is in love with all things related to firefighters. So it was only fitting that he chose this fabric and stickers for his wish card. Peyton even helped him write his name. I can't wait to show him this when he gets older!

I'm so glad all these great kids have contributed to Mia's quilt. These wishes will remind me of many great memories of this time in our lives while we waited for Mia to come home.

Thanks Jazz!

Mia's 18th Quilt Square: Gaithersburg, Maryland

Who knew 12 yr olds were so creative? This was also made at our kids crafting party by Peyton's other best bud, Maggie. Maggie moved to Gaithersburg, Maryland a couple of years ago. Mia's 16th Quilt Square: Dayton, Ohio

This was made at our kids crafting party. Click here to check it out. This square is very special to me because it was made by my best friend's 12 yr old daughter, Peyton. She put a lot of thought into the wish and then the decoration of the card. Her card starts out with a quote: "Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints on your heart. ~Eleanor Roosevelt" Her wish for Mia reads "May you be blessed with many friends and many footprints on your heart." She picked a cute green fabric with stars on it and then found a coordinating paper with stars for her wish card. Look how creative she was. The details are amazing. It's beautiful! I love it!

Thanks Peyton! I love you.

This is from the Carley Family of Raleigh, North Carolina. They are fellow June Bugs. They have a LID of June 15th which is the day after mine. We may be in China at the same time. Thanks Carley Family

Mia's 5th Quilt Square: San Antonio, Texas

This is from Lynn & Tom Barton of San Antonio, Texas. They're also part of my June DTC group. My brother-in-law will be happy to see some Texans represented on the quilt. That's where he was born and raised. In fact, my two oldest nephews were both born there. On a sidenote, Tanner (the oldest) wanted to sample my nachos with jalapenos one day, even though I told him they'd be too hot for his mouth. He told me "But I like spicy food cuz I'm from Texas, remember?" That kid cracks me up!

Okay back to the square... it's a pretty pink and green floral fabric. (My favorite colors. Good choice!) The wish quotes Mother Teresa ~ "How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers." Their wish for Mia reads " May your life's journey be blessed with happiness. Always remember to take time to stop and smell the flowers."

Thanks Lynn and Tom

Mia's 4th Quilt Square: Boston, Massachusetts

This is from Tricia Maloney in Boston, Massachusetts who is part of my June DTC group. For those of you unfamiliar, this is an internet group made up of people all over the world who've all sent their paperwork to China in June 2006. It's basically a support group to share this experience with. We'll all get our referrals and travel approval about the same time. Some of us will even travel at the same time and may be able to meet in real life while we are in China getting our girls.

She sent a beautiful purple paisley fabric. Her wish says "Dreams do come true. You were cherished even before you were born. My wish for you is a life filled with love, happiness and joy." She also has some Chinese calligraphy printed on the card and a tiny pair of silver baby shoes tied with a ribbon at the top. Adorable!

Thanks Tricia
